Glass Lewis Opens Comment Period on Multiple Research Perspectives
Glass Lewis is inviting clients and market participants to comment on the four perspectives that will underpin our new research model starting in September 2027.

Why We’re Evolving Our Research Model
Late last year, we announced a fundamental shift to how we will produce proxy research, including our transition from a single "house view" to four distinct research perspectives. We announced this shift because two forces are reshaping our industry: the growing divergence in how investors, particularly those in Europe and the U.S., approach fiduciary duty and stewardship, and technological advances, such as AI, that now enable greater customization of proxy voting policies.
Introducing the Four Research Perspectives
Our research and methodology teams have developed and tested four perspectives—Business Fundamentals, Foundational Governance, Global Stewardship, and Sustainability Focused—designed to reflect a wide spectrum of investor views across corporate governance and sustainability topics.
Beginning in September 2027, Glass Lewis clients can choose to receive research that provides analysis and policy outcomes across one or more of these perspectives:

Invitation to Participate in the Comment Period
We encourage you to review the summary of the consultation paper before providing your feedback through the survey. You will see that our survey seeks input on three central areas, including:
• Are the distinctions between the perspectives clear and recognizable?
• Is the Four Perspectives Model workable in practice?
• Does the model reflect how institutional investors approach stewardship today?
We are also providing supplementary resources: a paper that includes a comparison of the perspectives at the proposal category level and the full consultation paper.
All survey responses may be submitted anonymously, and no individual or organization will be identified in the published findings. Your organization may also submit direct feedback on the perspectives via email at visionquestions@glasslewis.com.
What Happens Next
Thank you, in advance, for contributing to this important stage of our work. Your input will help ensure that the perspectives reflect a range of investor views and are informed by broader market practices.
