Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Senior Analyst (Mid-Level) for Climate Research to join our dynamic Climate Research team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a mid-career researcher to contribute to the development and maintenance of our innovative climate financial materiality evaluations and assessments. The analyst will be covering multiple sectors, including for instance heavy industry, agriculture, and energy. This will be the opportunity to work from the ground-up on a new product in a rapidly expanding sector and to contribute to the advancement of sustainable corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and analyzing climate data from public disclosures, company reports, and other credible sources
- Support Team Lead in evaluating companies' climate performance across various sectors and regions
- Work with methodology and technology to help maintain and update our proprietary climate evaluation methodologies and assessment frameworks
- Contribute to the production of company-specific climate reports and sector analyses
- Support the methodology and technology teams in creating climate-related taxonomies, ontologies, and datasets
- Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our evaluations and research reports
- Monitor and research emerging climate trends, regulations, and best practices
- Assist in responding to client inquiries about our climate evaluations and methodologies
- Support the development of new climate products and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Environmental or Climate Science, Finance, Business, or related disciplines)
- 2-3 years of experience in climate research, sustainability reporting, business, or related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key insights
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Basic understanding of financial markets and corporate structures
- Working experience in at least one related sector would be an asset
- Willingness to have flexibility with working hours in a global setting
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of an extended research team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel; experience with data analysis tools is a plus
- Passion for sustainability and the role of CLIMATE factors in financial markets

The role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires some regular office attendance. This position is based in our Makati City office.
