LIMERICK, IRELAND (27 March 2018) – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance and engagement support services, announced enhancements to its Proxy Paper research service as part of a new partnership with Dutch firm DirectorInsight.

press_release-2-300x200DirectorInsight is a specialist provider of data analytics, screening tools and governance intelligence. Its integrated, web-based, data platform allows both investors and issuers to independently analyse the performance and governance practices of leading listed companies across the globe.

Glass Lewis has leveraged DirectorInsight’s powerful software and pay-for-performance model to generate the improved “Remuneration Details” feature now available in Proxy Paper reports. The proprietary peer methodology underpinning the analysis is also the result of collaboration between the two firms. The charts and graphs displayed will provide concise and valuable insights to clients as they examine a company’s relative alignment between CEO pay and a variety of key performance metrics relating to earnings and returns. For the 2018 season this new feature will include data from approximately 900 companies comprising the major indices within 12 European markets.

“Evaluating a company’s success in linking pay and performance is fundamental to assessing its commitment to good governance and the effectiveness of the board’s oversight,” said Andrew Gebelin, Glass Lewis’ Senior Director of European Research. “These new remuneration profiles will help users to quickly identify whether a company’s pay practices are well aligned with company performance, informing our clients’ proxy voting and engagement efforts.”
