Names Dan Concannon as Chief Commercial Officer and Eric Shostal as Senior Vice President of Research and Engagement.

SAN FRANCISCO (September 14, 2020) – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance solutions, announces the appointment of Dan Concannon as Chief Commercial Officer and Eric Shostal as Senior Vice President of Research and Engagement. Dan and Eric will be joining Glass Lewis effective September 14, 2020 and September 16, 2020, respectively.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Dan Concannon will oversee Glass Lewis’ worldwide sales functions. Glass Lewis has been focused on international expansion including the recent opening of an office in Japan. Dan brings over two decades of leadership experience in the financial information services and governance, risk, and compliance segments. He joins Glass Lewis from CFRA Research, an independent equity research provider, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer overseeing global sales and marketing.

Prior to CFRA, Dan was the Chief Executive Officer and President of GMI Ratings (now part of MSCI), a global provider of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings and research where he increased sales and profitability. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Institutional Shareholder Services.

In addition to overseeing global proxy research, he will also helm the company’s thought leadership in ESG policy and shareholder engagement. Eric brings over 15 years of experience in corporate governance and investment stewardship to the company. He will be joining the company from BlackRock, where he served as Vice President, Investment Stewardship.

Prior to his role at BlackRock, Eric oversaw the proxy voting function for the New York State Common Retirement Fund where he shaped global proxy voting guidelines and integrated ESG factors into the investment process. Eric has participated in a broad range of engagements with public company executives and institutional investor groups, developing expertise in board quality, shareholder accountability, executive compensation, and corporate sustainability disclosures.
