New partnership with Proxy Insight delivers comprehensive data and analytics

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb 2, 2017) – Meetyl, the operator of the world’s most powerful direct corporate-access platform, today introduced a new suite of services dedicated to informing and connecting corporate governance professionals.

WebThe new CG Direct module features data from London-based Proxy Insight, a leading provider of comprehensive information on the proxy voting behavior of institutional investors. Through CG Direct, corporate users can access publicly-available information about their current and prospective shareholders provided by Proxy Insight, including corporate governance contacts, proxy voting policies, and voting history with related analytics. Meetyl’s intuitive user-interface allows companies to efficiently target, understand and connect with institutional investors.

Furthermore, institutional investors are invited to take control of their profiles in the system, including the ability to update engagement contacts and preferences, determine how meeting requests are received, and manage and optimize the meeting-request process.

“CG Direct is the next step in realizing the promise of Glass Lewis’ ownership of Meetyl; extending the reach of our live community to include corporate governance professionals and drive value across the entire investment lifecycle,” said Jeffrey Tha, CEO of Meetyl.

Founded by former Wall Street professionals in 2012, Meetyl’s innovative technology-based solution enables companies and institutional investors to directly, securely and efficiently connect with each other. Meetyl, which was acquired by Glass Lewis in 2014, today counts more than 2,000 users amongst its live, global community. In 2016, Glass Lewis used the Meetyl platform to significantly ramp the corporate engagement activities of its own research team, ultimately conducting meetings with more than 1,000 companies globally during the year.

“Direct engagement between companies and investors eliminates the conflicts and inefficiencies that are often inherent to the process when intermediaries are involved,” said Katherine Rabin, CEO of Glass Lewis. “By providing users with key insights about their engagement counterparts – as well as Meetyl’s hallmark targeting algorithm and links to connect directly – the quality of engagement activity is improved, while costs are dramatically reduced.”

The release of CG Direct is the result of a multi-faceted new partnership among Proxy Insight, Meetyl and Glass Lewis.

“We believe Proxy Insight’s comprehensive data provides unrivaled transparency into the voting activities of institutional investors, which empowers companies to easily understand their shareholders and focus engagement activities appropriately,” said Nick Dawson, CEO of Proxy Insight. “We are delighted to work with Meetyl and Glass Lewis, and see a massive opportunity to drive constructive, informed dialogue between investors and companies around the world.”
