KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (27 November 2018) – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance and engagement support services, today announced the opening of a new, full-service office in Kansas City, Missouri.

With a global network now comprising seven offices, Kansas City represents the third location added in the last 3 years. Kansas City is also the third operations center in North America, expanding Glass Lewis’ research and client support presence and further strengthening its ability to serve its clients.

“We are continually looking for ways to best support the evolving needs of our investor clients as well as satisfy ever increasing levels of issuer engagement activities. Building a significant presence in the Midwest represents an excellent opportunity to complement the great work being done by our client service, policy and research teams in San Francisco and New York City,” said Chief Operating Officer John Wieck.

The deep pool of skilled talent with relevant experience played a key role in selecting Kansas City to support the continued expansion of Glass Lewis’ research team, which publishes reports on approximately 6,000 U.S. meetings annually and is also responsible for gathering the data for client’s custom voting policies as well as engaging with corporate issuers.

“There are substantial demands in publishing nuanced research on increasingly complex issues across the vast North American coverage universe while also engaging with nearly 500 of those same firms,” said Vice President, Research and Engagement Kern McPherson. “We anticipate those demands will only continue to grow, and so developing a research presence in the Midwest will ensure our clients continue to receive the most accurate, engaged and timely research available.”
