LIMERICK, IRELAND (19 May 2017) – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance and engagement support services, today announced the appointment of Cassandra Traeger to the newly created role of Director of Client Policy and Stewardship.

GL_Europe_Logo_horizontal 300x202Cassie brings more than a decade of relevant industry experience, with an emphasis on proxy voting policy analysis and advising institutional clients. For the past four years, she was based in London managing a team of analysts that worked directly with many of the largest global investors in Europe, helping them achieve goals relating to corporate governance and stewardship. Prior to that, Cassie was based in Boston playing a similar role supporting investors based in North America.

“As the demands on our clients increase and evolve, our role as a strategic advisor has similarly expanded in scope and complexity,” said Glass Lewis CEO Katherine Rabin. “At the forefront of that relationship is our ability to help clients globally grapple with sophisticated custom policies that address a multitude of stakeholder interests, regulatory demands, and stewardship activities.”

“I’m very excited to join the Glass Lewis team, and contribute to their rapid expansion throughout Europe,” said Cassie. “Their focus on developing innovative ways to meet clients’ evolving needs in ESG plays an important role in the marketplace. I value the relationships I’ve built in the industry and am delighted with the new possibilities available to institutional investors here at Glass Lewis.”

Cassie is currently working from Glass Lewis’ European centre of operations in Limerick, Ireland, where she reports to VP of Operations Heidi Little.  She will collaborate with the global client service, research and product teams before returning to London in 2018.

“Glass Lewis is focused on developing flexible solutions comprising powerful technology, valuable insight and diligent client service to institutional investors around the world. Cassie will play a leading role in the future of our offering,” Heidi added.
