Robert McCormick, Esq.
Chief Policy Officer

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Bob McCormick was the Director of Investment Proxy Research at Fidelity Management & Research Co., which he joined in 1997. At Fidelity, he managed the proxy voting of more than 700 retail and mutual fund accounts, holding 4,000 US and international securities worth in excess of $1 trillion. Prior to joining Fidelity, McCormick was a staff attorney at Keenan, Powers & Andrews and Prudential Securities Incorporated, both in New York City. McCormick is an attorney who earned his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law after graduating with honors from Providence College. He serves on the International Corporate Governance Network’s Cross-Border Voting Practices and Securities Lending committees.


 
Michael Lofing, CPA
Managing Director, Financial Analysis

Michael Lofing was with Koch Industries Inc. from 1997 to 2003, where he served as vice president of finance and business development for Koch Performance Road Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Industries. During his six years at Koch Industries, Lofing was responsible for consulting on technical accounting issues and implementation of new accounting standards. His responsibilities included financial reporting, financial disclosure and financial statement review and analysis. From 1984 to 1997, he was a senior manager in the Coopers & Lybrand audit and assurance group. During his tenure at Coopers & Lybrand, he was a FASB practice fellow and a senior manager in the National Audit and Assurance Directorate. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.


 
Sandy Easterbrook
Director, CGI Glass Lewis

Sandy Easterbrook founded the Australian proxy advisory firm, Corporate Governance International (CGI) in 1993. Previously he was a partner for over 20 years of the leading Australian corporate law firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Prior to that, he worked in London for the major City law firm, Herbert Smith. Easterbrook has served on the Board of Governors of the International Corporate Governance Network, which represents institutional investors with more than US$10 trillion in assets under management around the world. He is well known as a speaker at its annual conferences and as a member of ICGN committees, which work on key initiatives between conferences. He holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Cambridge University.


 
Pru Bennett
Director, CGI Glass Lewis

Pru Bennett joined Corporate Governance International (CGI), in 1997, and became a director of CGI in 1998. Previously she was Investor Relations Manager at Qantas Airways Ltd and with responsibility for communication between Qantas and its institutional investors. Prior to joining Qantas Pru lectured in financial accounting at the University of Sydney. She has a B. Com from the University of NSW and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.


 
Terry L. Baldwin, CPA
Senior Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Terry Baldwin was a senior project manager for LSI Logic. Baldwin previously served as corporate controller at Solbourne Computer and at Precision Visuals after beginning his career as a certified public accountant at Deloitte & Touche. He received a master's degree in accounting from the University of Denver and an undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and business management from Southeast Missouri State University.


 
Warren Chen
Managing Director M&A and Quantitative Analysis

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Warren Chen was an Associate Director at UBS' Technology Investment Banking practice, where he focused on the communications equipment industry and advised companies on various corporate finance issues. Before joining UBS, Chen was an associate in Arthur Andersen's Global Corporate Finance Group. Prior to his career in finance, Chen was a research engineer at Boeing's Commercial Aircraft Group. Chen is a graduate of MIT with BS and MS degrees in Aeronautical Engineering. Chen also earned an MBA from University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.


 
Todd M. Fernandez
Senior Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Todd Fernandez was a founding member of the research department of Broadview International LLC, where he covered the information security industry and assisted with building Broadview's equity research department. Fernandez was previously an equity analyst with Epoch Partners and J.P. Morgan Chase (then J.P. Morgan). He began his career on the buy-side as a high-yield analyst covering healthcare companies at Franklin-Templeton. Fernandez is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.


 
Mark Grothe
Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis as a research analyst, Mark Grothe worked at Glass Lewis as a research-assistant intern while he completed his graduate program. He holds a master's degree in accounting, a master's degree in finance, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is currently enrolled as a candidate in the Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst programs.


 
Marian Macindoe
Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Marian Macindoe served as an economic research associate for the Corbett & Goldhammer Fellowship program in Portland, Oregon. Her research focused on determining the factors that influence the importance of international trade for national economies, primarily using econometric analysis. Macindoe holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Reed College, and a master's degree in Regional Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating with distinction in Economics.


 
Boting Ruan, Esq.
Senior Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Boting Ruan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Julie Tang of the California Superior Court for the County of San Francisco. Previously, he was a legal executive with Allen & Gledhill, the largest law firm in Singapore. There, he assisted partners in preparation of cases concerning corporate and international trade law. Ruan holds law degrees from Dalian Maritime University in China, Okayama University Graduate School of Law in Japan (corporate law) and Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. He is also a member of the New York State Bar. Mr. Ruan's native language is Mandarin. He is also fluent in Japanese and English.


 
Carla Topino, Dottoressa in Giurisprudenza
Senior Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Carla Topino worked as in-house counsel in the legal and corporate affairs departments for Italian automotive company Graziano Trasmissioni S.P.A. and Italian fashion company GFT Turin. At these companies, Topino focused on a variety of corporate matters, including acquisitions and joint venture transactions; she also assisted with international contracts. Topino has a master's degree in corporate law from the SAA-Business School of Turin, Italy and a law degree from the University of Turin, where she graduated summa cum laude after completing her thesis on takeover bids. Topino's native language is Italian. She is also fluent in English and French.


 
Leah Townsend, CPA
Senior Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Leah Townsend was a manager of financial reporting at Qwest Communications. Townsend joined Qwest in October 2002 to help identify restatement issues, quantify correcting entries and evaluate the resulting financial statements. Prior to that, Townsend was a senior accountant at Deloitte and Touche. She holds a master's degree in accounting and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


 
Jason Williams, Chartered Accountant
Research Analyst

Jason Williams was a senior accountant at the Trustee in Bankruptcy in Kingston, Jamaica from 1999 to 2002. Williams previously served as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor's degree in management studies from the University of the West Indies. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.


 
Nathan Williams, Esq.
Research Analyst

Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Nathan Williams worked as a corporate paralegal at Aris Corporation, a former publicly-held company that provided IT consulting services. At Aris, he administered its stock compensation plans, performed due diligence related to its merger with CIBER, Inc., and drafted board of directors' minutes and resolutions, securities filings, asset purchase agreements, and promissory notes. Previously, he worked at Cooley Godward LLP as a paralegal case clerk, where he assisted attorneys and paralegals on corporate transactions and venture capital fund formations. He holds a bachelor's degree in American Studies from Wesleyan University and a law degree (J.D.) from DePaul University College of Law. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar.
